Unika is born, the technical slat for beds, designed to deliver superior performance, maximum hygiene, and unmatched durability.

SPECIAL
UNIKA, the technical slat
UNIKA is a patented project — a slat engineered to improve sleep quality while simplifying production processes for bed manufacturers.
Thanks to the use of calcium/zinc-stabilized PVC R22/23/214, UNIKA sets new standards in bed manufacturing, ensuring strength, flexibility, and eco-sustainability.

Eco-friendly
Unika is made from PVC, making it fully recyclable. It replaces traditional wooden slats currently used in bed bases — imagine how many trees can be saved by this simple innovation.
Non-toxic and hygienic
Unika contains no formaldehyde and is made of completely non-toxic materials. It prevents mold and dust mite proliferation, contributing to a healthier sleeping environment. Unlike wooden slats, Unika is washable — offering practical advantages in cleaning routines.
Standard sizes
Unika slats are designed with the same profiles and dimensions as traditional wooden slats, meaning they can be integrated into current production cycles without modification.
CATAS® tested
Unika has been tested and certified by CATAS® laboratories, passing all load, bending, and temperature resistance tests with excellence.
Moisture-inert
Unlike wooden slats, Unika does not warp or deform when exposed to humidity, maintaining its dimensions unchanged.
Functional design
Unika features a specially designed longitudinal fold line, enhancing both strength and resistance to flexion.
Flexion resistance
Tested on dedicated machinery, Unika underwent intense flexion cycles. Even after testing, the slat maintained its elastic properties, showing a much higher yield threshold than wood.
Longer-lasting than wood
Thanks to the use of calcium/zinc-stabilized PVC, Unika is resistant to mold and aging, proving to be five times more durable than comparable wooden slats.
